ASP.NET (VB) Web Developer
Our clients' web design and development team specialise in hand crafting websites designed to promote their clients services, their brand and to get them new business.
They are obsessive about web design, whether it be an e-commerce, branding or CMS site, we labour over every component, ensuring each website is a perfect fit for your business.
Every site they develop is highly optimised for Google search, so not only do their clients look great, new customers will easily find them.
They have been designing and developing websites for over 10 years and still love every aspect of the process, from initial consultations, through to launch and helping to drive business further into the future.
During an enormously busy time of growth we are looking for an experienced ASP.NET Web Developer to join their team on the Wirral. You will be working alongside two other developers on bespoke e-commerce projects for SMEs.
The majority of your work will be supporting, maintaining and updating our proprietary e-commerce platform, built in ASP.NET (VB) and SQL Server. You will also be required to support, maintain and update other bespoke web systems and static sites, as necessary. As part of a small team, your input will be required for all stages of a project, from initial client contact, through development and testing, and into final delivery. We expect you to gain knowledge of our clients and systems, even if you are not directly working on them.
We are looking for an individual who is good at solving problems using their own initiative, but who is also able to ask for help and input when required. You should also be keen and enthusiastic to learn and keep abreast of industry developments and new technologies. Above all else, you will need to be friendly, approachable and able to communicate in an effective way.
Skills and Experience You Will Have:
* ASP.NET using Visual Basic
* SQL Server 2012 (and above) with a good understanding of stored procedures, user defined functions, and how to write efficient code
* A good working knowledge of Microsoft Visual Studio
* HTML, JavaScript and CSS
Ideally you will also have the following skills:
* Experience with e-commerce
* Some knowledge of source control systems
* Some knowledge of C#
* Some knowledge of Ajax
* Some knowledge of Windows Server hosting environments
Salary: £30k+ (Negotiable for the right candidate)
