Assistant Design Manager

Location: Warrington

Salary: £32,000 + Car/ Allowance + Company Benefits

I have an exciting position available for an Assistant Design Manager to join a North West leading main contractor. The contractor specialises in large high rise residential schemes varying in value from £20m - £100m.

Due to a number of new large developments they are looking for an Assistant Design Manager to join the team to assist with the design information and design philosophy for new build accommodation. You will be expected to review the technical aspects of details put forward by architects and engineers and co-ordinate changes with the Design team (including Structural Engineers, architects and external subcontractors) ensuring best value. You will be involved in Design team meetings to co-ordinate the building process.

You will register received drawings on the information system, approve drawings and produce drawings via AutoCAD drawing system. You will also co-ordinate design information in accordance with Building Regulations.

Knowledge, skills and experience required

  • Requiring education/ qualifications to a level of NVQ 4, Degree, HND, HNC or equivalent experience.
  • Knowledge of Building Regulations
  • Basic knowledge of AutoCAD drawing systems
