Job Description

Role: Certification Auditor - Construction / Manufacturing / Technical 9001

Salary: £30,000 - £35,000

Location: North West UK

Russell Taylor Group has a fantastic opportunity for a Certification Auditor to join our clients Global Test, Inspection and Certification company. You will come from either a technical construction / manufacturing background and be looking to move into an Auditor Role.


  • Conducting and reporting on factory production control audits as part of our clients certification schemes
  • Selection of samples for initial type testing or audit testing from factory, site or the market
  • Witnessing of production of samples for testing
  • Carrying out assessments of clients' operations in accordance with BS EN ISO 19011 (guidelines for auditing management systems)
  • Reporting assessments in accordance with BS EN 19011 (guidelines for auditing management systems)
  • Conducting and reporting on ISO9001 (quality management systems) when required
  • To suggest improvements and to support and assist with the implementation of process and improvement projects as required
  • Assisting in conducting internal quality audits allied to maintenance of UKAS accreditations held by our client
  • When required - Assisting with the training of new Auditors as directed by the Audit Team Manager


  • Educated to HNC / A Level standard or equivalent
  • Significant experience auditing production of products at factories within the construction industry
  • QMS lead auditor qualification or equivalent, or willingness and ability to complete the course and exam
  • Significant experience of professional experience in relevant industries
  • Professional and confident approach
  • Good IT skills and knowledge of systems
  • Competent with MS Office applications: in particular MS Word - to intermediate level
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills - both written and oral
  • Ability to take ownership of clients and manage issues to a successful conclusion
  • Customer focused, develop strong working relationships
  • Ability to work to strict deadlines and under pressure, positive and effective team player
  • Prepared to take on additional challenges as and when they are identified
  • Ability and willingness to travel across UK and Europe with frequent overnight stays - possibility of overseas work in longer term
