Role: - Certification Engineer (Household Domestic Appliances)

Location: - England

Salary: - Competitive

Type: - Permanent

Hours: - Monday to Friday (37 hours)

Russell-Taylor Group have a fantastic opportunity for a testing or manufacturing individual with an electrical/electronic/ Mechanical background to join a global testing company based in England. You will be working remote from home but will need to commit to occasional travel to the company sites based across England.


  • Review test reports and issue relevant certificates
  • Provide formal ISO17025 audits of manufacturers own test laboratories and with relevant international certification schemes
  • Prepare and approve test programs
  • Assess client's approval requirements against published standards and interpret complex issues relating to standards
  • Ensure compliance with accreditations and work on acquiring new accreditations
  • Liaise with external accrediting agencies
  • Support management and company stakeholders with accurate forecasts and operational statistics
  • Represent the company with external bodies and ensure impartiality is maintained throughout the certification process
  • To act as an expert within relevant National and International standards
  • Participate in the UK National Committee for Conformity Assessment

The Person

  • Electrical / electronic / Mechanical consumer product testing or manufacturing experience
  • Knowledge of manufacturing quality management systems - ISO 9001
  • Experience in manufacturing process and build techniques
  • Familiar with Inspection methods and techniques (Including CIG factory inspections)
  • Experience of external / internal auditing
  • Ability to write reports/document certification results
  • Strong knowledge of ISO / IEC 17020 / 17065 / 17025 working practices and requirements
  • Knowledge of Certification Body Inspection / Surveillance requirements
  • Strong administrative skills
  • Excellent communication skills at all levels
