Role: - Certification Team Leader- FIRE DETECTION

Salary: - Highly Competitive

Location: - Watford

Russell-Taylor Group have a fantastic opportunity for an individual who has experience in electronic product testing, understanding of certification processes and extensive project management skills to join our clients Research, Testing and Approvals company in Watford. The role is based within the Fire Detection department, so experience in this sector would be desirable.   • Overview the project management of the product approvals processes
  • Conduct technical evaluations from initial to final project sign off
  • Accumulating and verifying test programmes and approval files
  • Review client product documentation
  • Ensure compliance with various schemes and regulations (LPCB, Construction Products Regulation (CPR), & Marine Equipment Directive (MED))
  • Account manager for various clients
  • Investigate and scope out new projects and prepare quotations
  • Liaise with other departments, customers, approval agencies & accreditation bodies
  • Support & Supervise up to 5 Certification Project Managers - support & manage the day to day workload
  • Ensure that you work closely with the relevant colleagues to ensure that tasks are prioritised in accordance to the business needs
  • If support is required, report to more senior management for any complex, technical & people issues
  • Complete personal and development reviews


  • Relevant electronic degree or equivalent
  • Industry experience in product testing or evaluation work (experience in the Fire Detection industry would be advantageous)
  • Good understanding of certification processes
  • Proven Project Management experience
  • Ability to maintain & build customers relations
  • Analytical and technical ability
  • Clarity of thought and attention to detail
  • Excellent organisational, written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent IT skills (MS word, Excel, Outlook & Database)
