Vacancy Description

My client is a multi-discipline consultancy that operates across numerous markets both nationally and globally. My client is looking for a Civil Engineer to join their team in Birmingham. My client is currently looking for the successful candidate to have experience in highways design for roads, pavements, bridges, Section 278 Agreements and in earthworks engineering, cut and fill assessments, remediation, underground services, flood alleviation, sustainable drainage systems, pumping stations, sewerage and external works.
 

Due to the ever growing and continuous increase of contract wins they are looking for a Civil Engineer to join their team on a permanent basis in Birmingham.

Responsibilities

• Producing highways and drainage designs relating to medium to large development infrastructure projects
• Supervise Cad Technicians
• Represent the company at external meetings with clients and fellow professionals
• Be responsible for delivering work to a fee agreed with a Project Manager
• Project profitability (monitoring / planning of costs and budgets)
• Prepare client / project proposals
• Assist in negotiating fee proposals and requesting additional fees
•Construct project teams from internal and external resources.
• Procure project resources
• Agree design philosophy / design fundamentals
• Have knowledge of concept design, buildability, detailed design, construction techniques, procurement routes, risk assessment
• Have detailed knowledge of analytical concepts

Candidate


• Good understanding of section 38, 278 and 104 agreements
• As a competent user of Windes Microdrainage
• Post graduation design experience
• Experience in drainage (foul and surface) and minor road way design
