Job Description

The interfacing, commissioning and setting to work of equipment including:

  • MCC's
  • Pumping Plant
  • Process plant Equipment
  • Variety of Instrumentation
  • Understanding of PLC software packages would be a distinct advantage
  • Undertaking client training for both operational and technical competencies
  • Emergency call out cover where necessary
  • Writing of commissioning records and diaries making sure that all progress and equipment settings are recorded for the O&M manuals
  • Helping the design team by undertaking site visits to gather information for the purposes of tendering or design prior to construction
  • Work with design team and prepare electrical designs ensuring compliance with IEE regulations and all other relevant specifications - 10-20% of the role

Candidates must be computer literate and have ability to work effectively with Microsoft Office as a must. Design experience within the Water Industry sector would be an advantage. Including in areas such as potable water, distribution and waste water treatment

The ideal candidate will ideally possess the following:

  • An industry applicable ONC or City & Guilds / NVQ equivalent
  • Relevant H&S qualifications ( A relevant CSCS card, EUSR Card Blue Water, EUSR SHEA, JIB )
  • Mitsubishi (Q series PLC)
  • Rockwell (ControlLogix PLC, RS Logix)
  • Siemens (S5, S7, Winn CC)
  • Wonderware InTouch
  • Profibus
  • Allen Bradley

This role will be site based for at least 80% of the working week with a company van provided.
