Salary: £65,000 + Car/ Allowance + Company Benefits
I have an exciting position for a Construction Director to join a North West leading main contractor. The contractor specialises in large high rise residential schemes varying in value from £20m - £100m.
Due to a number of new large developments they are looking for a Construction Director to join the team to predominately 4 days on site in the North West and Midlands regions. The Construction Director ideally will have experience of high rise and mixed used developments which is essential to the role. You would be responsible to manage all site based activities to ensure the sites are to the required standard within budget, maximising client satisfaction and delivered within the right time frame.
You will be expected to lead on all construction aspects of the division's work, providing strategic and professional guidance to the Contracts Managers, Project Managers and other relevant managers and colleagues as required. You will need to provide accurate reports and deliver them to the board director relating to the performance of the project relating to the contract requirements. As well as highlighting any areas of concern and analyse how these are being managed. Also, you will need to set targets, objectives and clear responsibilities for all supervised staff. Progressively monitor individual performance against the agreed criteria and conduct formal reviews of performance in keeping within set time frames. You will need to build effective partnering culture with the project teams and sub-contractors to ensure collaborative effort is applied where appropriate.
It is essential you have previous experience of working on high rise buildings and experience of managing multi million pound projects.
Knowledge, skills and experience required:
- NVQ Level 4/ HND/ Degree or equivalent qualifications or equivalent experience
- SMSTS, First Aid, Scaffolding Certificates
- CSCS Card
- Practical Site Experience
- Microsoft Office including work, Outlook and Excel
- Good communication skills and persuasion skills
- Excellent Time Management skills
