My client is a leading house builder that operates nationwide. Due to a number of new contracts they are looking to recruit a Contracts Manager to join their team. The Contract Manager will be responsible for running seven live sites across the North West area. Responsible for all construction programme deliveries.
The successful Contracts Manager will have proven experience working for a housing developer. You will have been responsible for the delivery of multiple sites, with proven project experience in high spec homes or multi use residential schemes.
You will have delivered projects up to a value of 8 million, with a large focus on new build projects, from brown or greenfield to hand over to client. You must have been part of these projects from inception through to completion and hand over stages.
The Contracts Manager will have an excellent understanding of construction planning and programming stages. You will have the highest health and safety standards and be responsible for ensuring cost is controlled and specifications are followed. You will have a relevant construction, trade or professional qualification such as HNC/HND in building, a construction related degree, NHBC Accreditation Programme or similar.
Under the Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS), the Contracts Manager will require a black Manager CSCS Card and will ideally have or be working towards Contracts Manager NVQ 5.
With travel around the North West being a requirement of the role, the Contracts Manager is expected to be flexible in keeping with the responsibilities of the post which may involve working additional hours, occasionally at weekends.
