Job Description

I am looking for an experienced Cost Engineer to join a growing Consultancy's project controls framework. As a senior Cost Engineer, you will be responsible for providing cost management support to work portfolios and will monitor, control, and forecast the costs during the Project lifecycle for both the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority (NDA) and Nuclear New Build (NNB) Projects.
The Consultant is a key part of our client's team, responsible for delivering project solutions to a wide range of client needs. In this role, the post holder will be operating either independently or as part of a delivery team.
Project work is varied and can be based in the office or on their client's sites. Our clients are organisations who deliver exciting and challenging capital projects and have a need for services in either supporting delivery and/or changing project delivery working practice.

Key Features of the Role
In addition to the current role, as a consultant, the post holder will have the opportunity to further their experience and develop skills in Business Management, Bids & Sales Management, and Internal project delivery.
In supporting the delivery of our client work, the post holder will work within a team focussed on delivering to the client's quality expectations. The post holder will be expected to deliver services either for our client's specific consultancy work or as a part of an end client team when necessary.
Projects are varied and often challenging, and the post holder must be able to demonstrate that they are able to remain calm under pressure, think objectively, listen to others, and always uphold their values.

Knowledge and attributes
 Breadth of experience across whole project and programme lifecycle (e.g., Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Installation/Commissioning processes), preferably in a highly regulated environment
 Good communication skills
 High level of numeracy and excellent analytical skills
 Excellent MS Office skills
 Good understanding of Project lifecycle from Inception through to Close Out
 Working level Knowledge & Experience in one of the areas of Project Controls, Project Management or Commercial Management
 Working level knowledge and application of project management software and tools
 Knowledge of Commercial arrangements on Projects or in Business
 The ability to interpret, analyse and present data for management action
 Relevant experience in Project Controls and/or Project Delivery, preferably in a highly regulated environment
 Customer Focussed with an understanding of the importance of the role and its importance in delivery of excellent customer service
 Adaptable with a willingness to respond positively to new ways of working

Qualifications & Experience
Minimum of HNC/HND in a relevant discipline or demonstrable equivalent experience
Experience in a Project Controls, Project Management, Commercial Management or Project Delivery environment
