My client is an award winning main contractor based in the North West. They work across education, health, commercial and Industrial sectors delivering projects ranging in value from £1.5m - £12m. The majority of these projects are design and build so candidates with experience in pricing these type of jobs would be of particular interest.
The successful candidate will have the overall responsibility for the accurate production of estimates and cost analysis for tendering purposes, budget proposals and negotiations.
You will be able to quantity and strategically price works and have a proven track record of pricing and winning works on similar types of projects. As part of a team of four you will take ownership of the tender process and upon contract award provide estimate handover to the project team. You will also need to have good knowledge of estimating softwares (the particular software used by this client is Conquest).
The ideal candidate will have at least five years' experience working for a principal contractor and be degree qualified however candidates who are qualified through experience would also be welcome applicants.
