Field Service Engineer

Locations: Anglia, London or South East

Russell Taylor are currently recruiting Field Service Engineer to work for a global FTSE 250 British Engineering company who design, develop and manufacture Electronic Devices used to control the flow of liquids and gases in highly hazardous areas such as the Oil and Gas industry.

About the role:
The After-Sale Services Department of our Client are currently recruiting for a Field Service Engineer. You'll be responsible for installing, inspecting, servicing and repairing actuators and commission associated equipment in our clients' plant and/or site primarily in the Water and Waste Water, Petrochemical, Offshore Oil, Gas and Power Generation industries.
You will produce site visit reports and risk assessments and occasionally have to carry out detailed valve surveys collecting mechanical data and dimensions as well as carrying out mechanical and sometimes electrical installation of actuators and associated retrofit adaption components, pedestals and drive shafts.

About you:
You will have a technical qualification in Mechanical /Electrical Engineering. You'll come with heaps of experience in a practical engineering environment, preferably in a field based role. You will be self-motivated, driven and can easily form good relationships with customers and colleagues. You will be self-reliant and confident in working independently and as part of the wider team. Due to the nature of this role, you will be required to travel extensively at short notice, therefore a full, clean driving licence is required.
