Job Description

I have a vacancy for an experienced Health and Safety manager to join a developer based in the Warrington area. Projects include new build residential schemes such as housing, care homes and apartments along with some refurbishment jobs.

With a current development pipeline in excess of £80m and further developments planned an opportunity has arisen for an exceptional Health and Safety Manager to join the growing Construction team. This is a new role for the business as they currently have an external consultant employed to manage their Health and Safety but would now like to bring this in-house. So this would require someone who is able to come in and implement a system and a uniformed process that can be followed company wide.

You will be responsible for ensuring all HSE procedures are adhered to on site. You will provide authoritative advice and guidance to managers to ensure best practice is promoted, to help ensure a safe working environment.

You will have worked on building sites previously and have a construction background. Experience of residential projects would be advantageous. You will have CDM experience with the ability to take Rams and risk assessments on active sites.

Those candidates who are capable and qualified to deliver SMSTS training, Asbestos Awareness etc. would be of particular interest also although this is not essential.

To be considered you will hold the following or equivalent:

  • NEBOSH Certificate in Construction or IOSH or equivalent
  • Degree (BSC Hons) or equivalent in relevant subject area
  • Experience in a similar role in the Construction Sector

If you have the skills and experience outlined above and would like to be considered for this position please apply now or contact Aisling Ward for further details.
