KEY RESULT AREAS

  • Improve the H&S record and create a best in class H&S culture
  • Retain and control the ISO 9001 accreditation;
  • Formal reporting for H&S both internally and to Daifuku Group;
  • Promote a proactive approach to H&S management to ensure compliance at construction and service sites;
  • Manage third party H&S at construction/service sites;
  • Ensure Project and Site Managers are trained and compliant with UK and local regulatory requirements including HSAWA and CDM;
  • Responsible for planned and ad hoc audits across all business sites and record and action issues arising.

KEY OBJECTIVES

Ensure compliance with the ISO 9001 accreditation;

Lead the response to H&S incidents including, if appropriate, the closure of areas and investigation of reportable incidents with appropriate reporting;

Deliver H&S audits to vendors and supply chain with appropriate reporting;

Support the preparation of sites for construction activities in line with legislation as CDM duty holder applicable to contract requirements;

Support Construction Managers on H&S, F10 and CDM requirements on site;

QUALIFICATIONS

Manufacturing and engineering experience;

Level 4-6 in NVQ, NEBOSH or equivalent level qualification preferred;

NEBOSH Certificate in Construction and Environmental Management (Diploma desirable);

ISO 9001; (14001, 45001 / 18001 desirable);

CDM 2015 and construction site H&S experience;

H&S legislation and ISO management system auditing skills.
