Multi skilled maintenance engineer

Purpose of role:
You will be required to be a first responder to any process breakdowns and also maintain to a high standard various diverse machinery ranging from old relay logic hard wired systems to PLC/ HMI bus systems including light to medium mechanical fitting work. As some of the equipment is highly automated the technician must be able to fault find and have a good working knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic control systems. It is also a prerequisite that the individual will be fully conversant with modern ac & dc drive systems through to standard large motor starting systems. This role will not only be in the front line of maintaining the company's production effectiveness but will work on planned improvements to plant and equipment.
Electrical qualification (City & Guilds/ONC)
5+ years relevant experience (time served)
Ability to read electrical drawings
Fault finding - electrical/mechanical
Good working knowledge of PLC's, pneumatics, hydraulics, variable speed drives (ac/dc)
Specific Skills Required
Maintenance of complex equipment
Electrical installations to latest regulations
Control Techniques PLC/Drives
Confident, professional, flexible with a 'can do' attitude
Ability to communicate well with other team members
Flexible with a desire to learn and develop
Hours: 12 hr rotational day/night Shifts 40 hours, Mon-Fri, overtime where necessary. Day position also available
Salary: Circa £34K
