Russell Taylor Group have a fantastic opportunity for a Quality/Test Engineer to progress into the RA/QA sector of a global testing and inspection company. This job presents the perfect opportunity for someone who has previous experience within the medical device sector, if this is of interest to you please apply within.


  • Responsible for performing tests and inspection in accordance with medical related standards
  • Developing an understanding of key medical standard (IEC series 60601, ISO 14971, etc.) and participate in relevant internal and external training to support development
  • Responsible for maintaining a safe and tidy working environment in accordance with procedures
  • Responsible for ensuring that test equipment and procedures are maintained and used correctly to ensure compliance to ISO 17025
  • Highlight when test equipment is out of calibration including review of calibration data as required
  • Responsible for ensuring technical and customer excellence is maintained through effective project management
  • Responsible for ensuring the test records, test areas, test equipment and client equipment are maintained in accordance with ISO 17025
  • Preparing test reports in accordance with laboratory and IECEE procedures
  • Assisting with client enquiries and work schedules to ensure technical and customer consistency
  • Responsible for maintaining and developing training records to support personal development
  • To ensure that commercial confidentiality is maintained
  • Carrying out any other reasonable duty as directed by the Operations or Department Manager


  • Degree, HNC in a relevant technology and engineering subject is highly desirable
  • Experience with knowledge of key applicable standards is also highly desirable
