The role will be providing essential engineering maintenance of semi automates site and support the Mechanical Handling Equipment (MHE) and associated machinery/equipment, to maximise operational efficiency and ensure continuous availability for production.
About You: It goes without saying you'll have a real interest in an engineering career but also the relevant skills, experience and knowledge including: *Time served in an electro-mechanical environment with experience in a conveyor systems. *Electrical discipline with a recognised apprenticeship, BTEC HNC standard or equivalent qualification. *Qualified to NVQ Level 3 Mechanical / Electrical *Able to work up to heights of 25 metres. *A strong electrical background with experience of PLC systems would be advantageous. *Good understanding of Health & safety practices. (IOSH) *Be able to work comfortably with a PC *Experienced in both mechanical and electrical fault diagnosis. *Ideally a knowledge of PLC based control systems (not essential). *Experience working on Vanderlande systems.
It's also important that you are happy with the following: *Working on 3 shift patterns 06:00 to 14:00, 14:00 to 22:00 and 22:00 to 06:00 covering days and nights to provide operational support and undertake PPM. *Saturday and Sunday work will be required at business peak times. *During busy periods and when the site works extended hours the pressure to get breakdowns resolved quickly increases and the window to carry out repairs and PPMs decreases thus making the Engineering tasks more difficult.
