Multi-skilled Maintenance Technician (Days Role)
Location - Belfast
£32,000 - £34,000 (plus shift, bonus, overtime)
Our Client is recruiting for a Multi-skilled Maintenance Technician to service, maintain and fault find issues on a range of automated processing machinery and general control systems.
Time will be spent in the production environment learning how the various systems function. The individual will be expected to develop a thorough understanding of the various automated systems both by working closely with the regular operators, studying carefully the relevant manuals and when appropriate attending the relevant training courses.
In addition they will be expected to work with existing mechanical bias engineers on general mechanical problems that may arise.
Upon reaching the required level of competency the candidate will expected to be available for call out on a rota basis.
The ideal candidate
- Will hold relevant technical qualification such as City & Guilds, ONC, HNC or HND in an appropriate engineering discipline.
- Will be able to demonstrate strong electro-mechanical fault finding skills.
- Will have a sound working knowledge of modern control systems operating within a SCADA protocol is required, including basic components such as sensors, both optical and proximity types, encoder motors and programable drive units.
- Experience of Fieldbus protocols, particularly Profibus and AS-Interface would be particularly useful.
