RTG are looking to recruit an Oracle Developer to work on Automation Projects within the Nuclear Industry. The role can be home based with occasional travel in to our Client's Staffordshire Office.
Summary of Role:
Working as part of a team assisting in the delivery of projects and support activities.
Key responsibilities of this role include: -
Designing databases and ensuring their stability, reliability, and performance.
Design, create, and implement database systems based on the end user's requirements.
Improve application's performances.
Memory management for database systems.
Develop database schemas, tables and dictionaries.
Ensure the data quality and integrity in databases.
Fix any issues related to database performance and provide corrective measures.
Create complex functions, scripts, stored procedures and triggers to support application development.
Take regular database backup.
Test databases and perform bug fixes.
Provide authentication and authorizations for databases.
Develop best practices for database design and development activities.
Providing defined Work Plans to support project reporting.
Creation and maintenance of full lifecycle application documentation.
Maintaining an excellent customer relationship, through good communication and high-quality service.
You will need excellent communication and prioritisation skills, as well as being self-motivated, confident and organised. A collaborative attitude is essential. The role will require you to think ahead and solve problems quickly. The following core skillsets are essential for the role: -
Knowledge of Oracle relational databases -Oracle 10g, 11g and 12c and above.
Knowledge of Oracle RAC architecture
Exposure to ASP.NET and C# development or similar.
Knowledge of PL-SQL coding.
Knowledge of Oracle Forms and Reports.
Knowledge of shell scripting
Working knowledge of Hardware and Virtual Environments (i.e., Windows Servers / VMWare)
