Role: Process Technologist - Chemical

Russell Taylor Group has a fantastic opportunity for a Chemical Engineer to join our client's chemical business based on the Wirral. You will ideally have a minimum of 4 years' experience within either Refining / Petrochemicals / Chemicals industries, Charted Engineer and / or have a Masters in Chemical Engineering. This is an excellent opportunity to join a Global chemical company that offers long term development and progression.

Role:

  • Provide timely, fit for purpose technical assurance and advice to the site and business functions
  • They will collaborate with them to support and achieve a sustainably safe, reliable, profitable and growing enterprise
  • Working closely with the unit operations team, economics/supply functions and discipline engineers, the process technologist will proactively identify and deal with day-to-day unit optimisation and issues
  • They will also focus on longer-term improvements covering HSE, reliability, profitability and growth within the unit and across the site's value chain, linking feedstock purchasing through to product quality
  • Work with a group of chemical engineers that supports the refinery and its associated units
  • The role incorporates both short and medium term front-line support to: Gasoline product blending and supply via pipeline, road and marine distribution LPG storage and distribution to product blending, fuel and third party customers

Person:

    • Ideally MEng in Chemical Engineering and be a Chartered Engineer ( or working towards this status through the IChemE )
  • Minimum of four years' experience within the Refining / Petrochemicals / Chemicals industry
  • Specific experience with either gasoline or LPG handling preferred
  • Experienced with SPC systems for management of product quality
  • Self-starter with good organisational / presentation / communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to solve process-related problems and drive implementation of defined solutions
  • Proven ability to work effectively with colleagues across organisational boundaries and within cross-functional teams
