Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a procurement specialist to oversee our clients' sourcing capabilities and supply chain management. The successful candidate will take responsibility for finding and evaluating suppliers, products, and services, negotiating contracts, and acquiring the most cost-efficient deals without compromising on quality.

Our client are specialists in High Voltage offshore infrastructure design, installation, maintenance, and repair who are continuing to grow within the renewables industry.

Main Responsibilities of the role:
* You will liaise with key company employees to determine their product and service needs and identify and develop opportunities for strategic supplier partnerships
* Provide a thorough procurement service for internal customers, communicating transparently and supporting stakeholders in delivering their requirements
* Develop and maintain procurement processes and documentation while helping to ensure continuous improvement across the organisation
* Perform all procurement activities including pre-qualification, negotiating supplier agreements, preparation of contracts and tender management
* Assist the Tendering Team by providing costings for tenders
* Compile MI insights that provide management with high quality analysis of procurement activities to inform strategic decision making
* Identify areas for improvement in the procurement process to continually drive performance and business results.
* Support our client in the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of procurement for the organisation
* Maintain supplier records with respect to on-boarding, data protection, adherence to policies, regulations, objectives, and priorities, etc
* Create and maintain excellent working relationships with suppliers, managing their performance and any supplier performance issues
* Continually evaluate processes and look to identify and develop new ways of working to ensure best procurement practices

Knowledge, Skills, Experience, Qualifications:

* Experience of working within a procurement team
* Experience of developing procurement processes and long-term strategy
* Demonstrable experience of successful negotiation and delivering cost savings
* Proficiency in MS Office applications, with excellent administrative skills
* Excellent communication skills with an ability to liaise with people at all levels both internally and externally
* Attention to detail and a methodical and logical approach to project and contract management.
* Ability to work to tight deadlines, but also able to successfully balance this with progressing important but less urgent work
* CIPS qualification (or working towards/the desire to work towards this qualification)
* Full UK driving licence

* Procurement experience within a transmission operator environment, preferable in the UK or can demonstrate working within highly regulated, procedure driven controlled environments
* Experience within a UK Renewables business
