Are you a strategic Procurement specialist with excellent negotiating skills, highly experienced in Sourcing and managing Vendors whilst working closely with your Demand Planning Team? Are you looking to propel in your career, and to work closely with not only a fantastic Board of Directors but to also work for a company who have gone through and who are still going through an exciting growth period? Our client, a formerly family-owned business; was acquired by the current CEO in 2006 and since then has grown to a >£10m turnover chemical ingredients business, with a strong headcount of 80+ FTE's with plans this year to increase to 100+ FTE's.

Your Role as our new Procurement Specialist

* Manager direct material contracts and status reporting
* Run tenders, evaluate bids, make recommendations based on commercial and technical factors
* Maintain and update budgets with the wider business
* Update material costs and communicate internally
* Identify areas of risk and implement plans to mitigate
* Use insight and market knowledge to determine areas where savings and efficiencies can be made
* Build and maintain strong vendor relationships
* Engage in supplier review meetings
* Supplier Performance Management
* Responsible for £30m spend

Your Previous Experience

* Chemical/PetroChem industry experience essential
* Ability to drive and manage projects
* Familiar with category analysis, with the ability to deliver category sourcing plans
* Excellent communicator, internally as well as externally
* Self motivated and proactive individual
* Full UK Driving Licence needed for adhoc travel to sites
* SIPS preferred
