Purchasing Administrator - Hybrid working (Manufacturing)

30-38 hours Monday to Friday (flexibility available)


12 months FTC

Bootle, Liverpool

We are looking for an experienced Purchasing Administrator to join our clients Logistics Team within a manufacturing environment. this role is perfect for someone who is looking for a fixed term position, to cover a period of maternity leave. Our client is a leading international manufacturer and supplier of medical diagnostics products for the diagnosis of infectious disease. Their products are used throughout the NHS in the UK and worldwide.

For this role you will ideally have previous purchasing experience and be confident in applying your skills, ensuring best prices are negotiated and the supply chain remains uninterrupted. Our client offers flexible working and would also part-time hours, hybrid working and also full time options.

Your New Role for the next 12 months will be:

* Work closely alongside the Logistics Manager to uphold efficient running of the Logistics department, ensuring the warehouse and offices are clean and tidy, adherence with H&S principles and company procedures and that equipment and workwear is maintained and appropriately stored.
* Managing the day to day purchase process of raw materials and factored products.
* Negotiate the best price/quality/service mix in accordance with a standard supply agreement.
* Analysis of MRP purchase order reports
* Processing purchase orders required to fulfil the manufacturing schedule in a timely manner.
* Support relevant departments in managing and controlling expiry dates for all relevant warehouses and imported products
* Maintain/create all business management records necessary for the efficient running of the purchasing and warehousing systems
* Manage and control stock import orders and estimate landed costs.
* Manage deliveries in line with service contracts

Previous Experience You Will Have:

* Previous experience in a purchasing role.
* Excellent supply chain knowledge.
* Experience in forecasting costs and materials.
* Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
* Experience in working alongside different departments within a business, to promote success of the supply chain.
