Purchasing Administrator with SAP (Chemical Manufacturing)

Your Role

In your new role as our Purchasing Administrator your main responsibilities will be:

Administrate the purchase ordering process for metal, including; the entry of purchase orders into the local ERP system and confirming with suppliers, entering requests for foreign currency on overseas purchase, placing metal hedges into an on-line hedging system
Conduct close monitoring of supplier adherence to orders
Carry out and develop analysis on purchasing activity
Manage and validate day to day data flow of Automotive material from numerous supply routes
Assist in monthly consolidation process with Automotive routes from press shops, Tier one press shops and third party locations
Validation of invoices for Recycling Procurement departmental purchases and services
Incoming vehicle scheduling and booking
Assist in the management of third party dross conversion data and contractual service-provider performance
Support in the compilation of Quality data in order to validate performance tracking and claims for material contamination
Understand and provide back-up for the Self-billing payment system and in the payment, claim and PRN (Packaging Recovery Note) process and reporting through the Environment Agency
Previous experience that you will have that will be hugely beneficial are:

Able to fit into a vibrant and fast paced team environment
Excellent communication skills to liaise with suppliers and colleagues at all levels within the organisation
Computer literate to advanced level in Microsoft Office; Excel, Word and PowerPoint, SAP (Essential)
Procurement and/or Supply Chain experience desirable

Your Contractual Benefits

Monday to Thursday 8.45am - 5.00pm Friday 8.45am-4.15pm
£25,000 Salary with additional annual attendance bonus
25 Days Annual Leave plus 8 Bank Holidays
7% Contributory Pension Scheme
