Purchasing Manager with SAP (FMCG Manufacturing)

Your New Role and Responsibilities
You will implement & control the entire purchase process for KK. For the rest of the organisation you will be a dynamic, accessible and pro-active colleague.
You will evaluate & select the existing and potential new suppliers within the different product categories.
After persevering negotiations with the suppliers you will be responible to make the necessary contracts on which your colleagues can make orders for all necessary raw materials, auxiliaries and services (also auxiliaries & services ?).
You will focus on long term cooperation with suppliers to create innovative and cost efficient purchases.
Together with your colleagues you will initiate, participate and evaluate improvement programs related to logistics, stock management and the different purchase processes. All this to improve & optimise the overall purchase function.
In order to realise all this within KK Fine Foods you need to stay informed about developments within your markets.
You will work with the existing ERP program to have at all time the actual and correct data available, at the same time you may be required to act as Category Manager on group level responsible for one or more categories. For these products you will be the first point of contact for existing as well as potential new suppliers, you will be responsible for the group purchase strategy as well as for all negotiations with the suppliers envolved.
Together with the other Category Managers within the group you will form a strong team focussed on continuous improvement, uniformisation of processes, consolidation of the existing supplier portfolio and creation of the overall group purchase strategy. Together with the other Category Managers you will report in this role to the Group Purchasing Director.
Ideal Previous Experience
Having a commercial attitude is absolutely necessary.
You are an enthsiastic team player, well focussed and result oriented. This in combination with a strong persuasiveness, being initiative-oriented and stress-resistant.
You must have very good inter personals skill, be communicative, tenacious, highly resilient and have the ability to handle multiple tasks and work well under pressure.
You have a good knowledge of Excel, Word & Power Point and you are open to work with other ERP programs (ideally SAP).
£40,000 - £60,000 (Depending on experience)
Company Car Allowance
Monday to Friday 9-5 (Can offer flexibility)
