Job Description

To develop and implement management procedures and software.

Conduct inspections, tests and document reviews in conjunction with the client representatives.

Provide a main focal point for all welding, welding documentation and NDT inspections.

Generate, approve and maintain weld and NDT procedures, welder and NDT operator qualifications in accordance with relevant specifications.

Be a provide a focal point for internal and external matters relating to Quality, Compliance and Certification

Produce, review and approve internal and external quality documentation.

Implement the established compliance regime and project specific requirements


To review and approve documents for the execution of a project, liaising with the client to gain their input and acceptance.

Provide a focal point for the supply chain in relation to matters relating to Quality.

Maintain auditable records providing evidence of quality performance and improvement.

To investigate, resolve and implement corrective/preventative actions through improvement notices.

Ensure engagement with customers, suppliers and partners in accordance with Core & Leadership values.

Work with project management, production control, workshop supervision on matters regarding quality, welding and NDT issues.

Visual inspections, NDT inspection and pressure/leakage test, in manufacture, on site and sub-contractors/suppliers premises.

Assist and oversee the making and collection of weld inspection, NDT and test records resolving any issues with client management and inspection personnel.

Constantly review all welding and NDT activities ensuring latest techniques are implemented as part of the continual review and improvement cycle.

To investigate, resolve and implement corrective and preventative actions relating to welding, NDT and quality issues.

Reporting performance to the Quality Manager on welding & NDT requirements.

To investigate, resolve and implement corrective/correction/preventative actions relating to quality issues.

Compile Life Time Record (LTR) packages for client acceptance.

To oversee the generation and collation of company and supplier quality documentation, resolving any issues arising through to client acceptance.
