QC Analyst
Location: Mirfield
Reporting to: QC Manager

Russell Taylor Group has a fantastic opportunity for a QC Analyst to join a Global Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Company based within the area of West Yorkshire. This is an exciting opportunity to progress your career with the best.
Roles and Responsibilities

* Analysis of raw materials and product to established SOPs
* Critical interpretation of analytical data
* Communicate and appropriately document analysis
* Second analyst checking of analytical data
* Perform daily/weekly calibrations/monitoring of analytical apparatus
* Preparation of customer standards/samples and related documentation
* Updates to analytical databases and spreadsheets
* Laboratory housekeeping
* Standard assessments
* Document generation and reviews
* Comply with all COSHH regulations and safe lab practices
* Basic troubleshooting and maintenance of analytical systems
* Assistance to production for in-process testing including performance of some analyses to suit production timetables

* Voluntarily communicate needs and suggestions both within and outside the team
* Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and under pressure
* Ability to build relationships with other functions and team working
* Ability to plan own work and feedback progress to team/site plans
* Competency with analytical instrumentation and apparatus
* Systematic approach to problem solving, troubleshooting capability
* Ability to interpret and critically assess data and communicate findings
* Meticulous attention to detail
* Competency with standard software, Excel, Word, Access
* Willingness to undergo further training/attend courses as and when required
* Able to work 12 hour day and night shifts and work unsupervised outside office hours (Shift role only)


Academic Background and Experience required

* Educated to HNC/HND level preferably in a chemical/technical subject or equivalent experience
* Experience of GC and HPLC is essential
* Experience of having worked at a GMP site
* Experience in Empower is desirable
* Experience in preparation and/or review of analytical reports is desirable
* Experience in analytical instrument troubleshooting is desirable
