Role: - QC Analyst (Pharmaceuticals)
Location: - Greater Manchester
Salary: - £20,000-25,000
Type: - 12-month FTC (Maternity cover), Days

Russell-Taylor Group have a fantastic opportunity for a QC Analyst to join a well-known growing pharmaceutical manufacturing company. In this role you will be required to perform routine laboratory tests for finished products, raw materials, or stability samples with minimal supervision, reporting to a QC team leader. Responsibilities

  • Carry out standard laboratory procedures in accordance with the relevant ACR and supporting SOP's informing team leaders or QC managers of any difficulties
  • Performing HPLC
  • Ensure logbooks, instrument documentations, systems and procedures are properly maintained.
  • Ensure all work is performed to relevant health and safety procedures
  • Review and create SOP with support from Team Leaders/Managers if appropriate
  • Highlight atypical results and help to investigate out of trend results
  • Ensure all areas and equipment are clean and properly maintained
  • Perform calibration of laboratory equipment ensuring records and certificates are in calibration date
  • Ensure training is up to date
  • Make recommendations for improvements
  • Maintain good working relationships both within and outside of department
  • Perform any other duties as directed by the QC Manager/Team Leaders

The role

  • Scientific background (e.g. HNC/HND or degree in chemistry or related subject)
  • Experience with HPLC in an industry-based setting
  • Experience within a GMP/ pharmaceutical setting
  • Experience with investigating deviations/OOS/laboratory investigations
  • Able to accurately interpret data and express findings clearly and concisely
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Able to prioritise workload
  • Experience with Microsoft applications such as MS Office
