My client is one of the largest regional maintenance and construction contractors in the North West and due to a large contract win they have the need for an additional Quantity Surveyor to join the team.
The contract win is a responsive repairs and maintenance contract worth over £2m for a housing association in Cumbria. The works will cover everything from responsive repairs to building fabric and M&E maintenance.
The Quantity Surveyor they are looking for will have a stable work history and be able to manage a portfolio of responsive repairs and be capable of managing their own workload.
You will be responsible for ensuring all relevant documentation is maintained and updated as appropriate throughout projects, monitoring costs of ongoing projects and reporting on their profitability.
The successful candidate will be a Surveyor with social housing or small works experience and a proven track record on similar projects.
Relevant experience in a similar role is a requirement along with computer proficiency and strong written and verbal communication skills.
A construction industry related qualification such as an HNC/D or Honours Degree in Surveying is preferable.
