Senior EC&I Engineer - Chorley

Remuneration - £40k to £50 per annum plus benefits

RTG are looking to recruit a Senior EC&I Design Engineer to work for a reputable System Integrator within the Nuclear Industry. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on cutting edge projects within an industry essential for the UK hitting Net Zero.

Design Responsibilities:

Scheme design generation consisting of;

* Design briefs
* User requirements specifications
* Block cable diagrams
* Control philosophy & software definition documents
* Scheme functional calculations
* Scheme design review and risk assessments
* Directive compliance assessments

Detail design generation consisting of;

* Software system specifications
* System Schematics
* Panel layouts
* Cable / detail functional calculations
* Detail design risk assessments & directive compliance assessments
* Detail design review
Production of manufacturing documentation consisting of;
* Wiring / single line diagrams
* Schedules
* PLC / software code
* Module / integration tests
* Factory acceptance tests
* Method statements
* Operation, maintenance and installation manuals
* Technical construction files


* Has been responsible for a variety of diverse projects or activities ranging in both size and complexity
* Experience within the nuclear industry beneficial
* Sound appreciation of manufacturing, assembly and test techniques
* A high level of commercial awareness
* Design experience of PLC/SCADA systems
* Ability to interpret written works information in order to compose specification documents for nuclear support systems.
* Knowledge of Control Philosophies, System Requirements Specifications and PLC configuration for I/O and SCADA equipment essential.
* Experience of CONCISE principles an advantage.
* Software orientated
* Sufficient technical knowledge and understanding of the industry to be able to technically lead a team, shape the outcome of a project and encourage and assist others in the delivery of that project
