Role: - Senior fire detection laboratory Test Engineer

Location: - South East England

Salary: - Competitive (DOE)

Type: - Permanent

Hours: - Monday to Friday (37 hours)

Russell Taylor Group have a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Test Engineer to join a Global Testing company within an accredited laboratory. The ideal candidate will have a wealth of experience in testing to EN54 standards and will be able to support junior test engineers. This role offers brilliant career progression opportunities and will require you to be on site full time with the potential for an occasional work from home day. Responsibilities

  • Manage, Complete and review test projects and reports
  • Provide project updates to customers and management
  • Ensure projects are conducted to appropriate accreditation requirements and within set timescales
  • Attend customer calls and meetings
  • Assist management to maintain laboratory accreditations
  • Proactively liaise with others both inside and outside the department to ensure everyone is kept up to date.
  • Build relationships with customers, accreditors, and key departments internally

The Person

  • Background developing, manufacturing, or testing life safety products
  • Knowledge and experience of EN14604 and EN50291
  • Knowledge and experience of EN54 standards
  • Knowledge and experience of the construction products regulations
  • Able to support and train other test engineers
  • Knowledge and experience evaluating technical documents to standard requirements
  • Experience working in laboratories testing LSS products to relevant standard requirements
  • Background in approvals and certification of LSS products is Desirable
  • Experience in software development of LSS products is desirable
  • Track record of developing an engineering team is desirable
  • Experience working in an EN17025 accredited laboratory is desirable
