Role: Senior Planner (P6)
Location: East Sussex
Salary: Up to £65,000pa, car allowance, 28 days holiday (plus public holidays), healthcare
Our client is seeking to appoint an experienced Senior Planner to build and maintain Project specific programmes from first principals building in logic, critical path activities and risk, identifying key milestones and deliverables.
Reporting into the Project Controls Manager you will be responsible for a small team of people.
You will report on project progress to enable the delivery team to manage projects against time, cost and quality. You will be managing a small team with a number of projects varying in value.
The planning function has a vital role in maintaining control and visibility of position on all projects, it is vital to ensure the project schedule is kept up to date with all changes and is reported regularly and accurately to the client.
Work closely with the Project Teams throughout the lifecycle of the project to assist and drive the construction of robust and logical project schedules.
Carry out timely updates to the programmes at scheduled intervals as well as unplanned changes.
Ensure that the administration of the contract is carried out in a correct and timely manner for all projects.
Mange updates and report progress against projects maintaining an up to date project schedule and detailed as constructed programme.
Prepare Project and variance reports;
Ensure Project Out Turn Forecasts are accurately reported on a monthly basis;
Client requirements / relations
Ensure timely submissions of Project progress reports;
Ensure timely submission of programmes for approval following change inc CE's and EW's.
Develop and maintain excellent relationships with Southern Water and all the Internal Departments and ensure the Commercial staff deliver customer satisfaction;
Experience and Qualifications:
This role will require somebody with strong planning experience gained on major projects within a highly regulated industry.
You must be able to develop realistic programmes and methodology and will be able to assist teams and prepare independent progress reports.
You will have comprehensive knowledge and experience with Primavera
