Job Description

Role: - Senior QC/Senior Production

Salary: - Up 23,000 p/a

Location: - Chester

Reporting to: - QA Manager

Russell-Taylor Group has a fantastic opportunity within a packaging company for an individual who has experience in Quality control and comes from a Pharmaceutical or Food Packaging background. This is a great opportunity for someone who has supervised a small team of 1 or 2 individuals, who has experience in hygiene/compliance and has knowledge of audits. Responsibilities: -

  • Supervising 2 x QC Operatives and supporting the QA Manager
  • Operation of QC procedures to guarantee availability of finished product to ensure delivery of raw materials for production
  • Monitoring of GMP and hygiene compliance standards (both warehouse & production)
  • Maintain supplier approval documentation- raise and monitor any non-conformance, then log them and initiate any corrective actions. Liaising with the Production Supervisor for any rework requirements
  • Sustain the calibration programme
  • Final product inspection of compliance to ISO 19001 & PS9000
  • Ensuring a good & organised filing system so all documentation can be obtained efficiently
  • Communicating with production to identify priorities for release and monitoring this progression
  • Detaining any product which does not pass batch release
  • Regular communication with customers and suppliers

Person:-

  • Previous experience in a Pharmaceutical or Food Packaging company
  • Good understanding and experience in a GMP environment
  • Customer focused
  • Good attention to detail, able to work under pressures and make difficult decisions
  • Logical in their approach to work
  • Understand and have knowledge of compliance and audits
  • Working knowledge of SOPS and documentation including "accept & reject criteria"
  • Ability to challenge and question personnel
