Role: Senior Regulatory Advisor (Food Industry)

Location: Home based

Salary: Competitive

Russell Taylor Group has a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Regulatory Advisor from the food industry to join our client's business. You will be supporting and working closely with some of the worlds leading brands and our clients key accounts. You will have experience using specification or artwork packages and have worked within a regulatory role.


  • Provide support to Team Lead in day to day matters and able to provide cover if required
  • Welcomes the challenge of complex work including horizon scanning, QA checks, reports and project work
  • Understands retail accounts and keen to develop relationships by providing bespoke regulatory support for key accounts eg. Tesco, M&S, Aldi
  • Demonstrating knowledge in all categories of work including non-food, pet food, baby food and supplements, or willingness to develop into these areas
  • Confident in training and supporting new staff
  • Ability to write and deliver training and promotional presentations; works closely with marketing to ensure appropriate input to industry publications and events
  • Understands prioritisation of workload and ability to allocate work in accordance with priorities when required
  • Deliver, support and input to relevant strategic initiative


  • Degree level educational qualifications in food or regulatory subject with sound technical knowledge, or able to demonstrate excellent relevant experience
  • In-depth regulatory and/or technical knowledge in area of responsibility, including codes of practice, policies and guidance
  • Good understanding of legal requirements, challenges and consumer trends relating to product information
  • Maintain an awareness of relevant changes in the regulatory environment due to new legislation, case law, guidance
  • Practical experience of using specification or artwork packages
  • Minimum 2 years of experience of working in a technical/regulatory affairs role, or in a related field
  • Demonstrable experience of workload planning, time management and decision making
  • Confident to apply requirements to product information and explain decisions to clients
