Job Description

My client are a national house building contractor, who work across new build affordable, new build open market and new build extra care schemes. They are currently looking to appoint a highly experienced Senior Site Manager for a prestigious new site due to commence works at the end of May.

This is a brand new site in East Manchester which will contain over 230 units and 2 x 4 storey apartment blocks. The site is entirely traditional build and will require a site manager with experience on both multi storey flats and new build housing.

The Senior Site Manager they are looking for will have proven experience working for large house builders or residential developers. You will have worked on new build housing and new build flats up to 4 storeys from inception through to completion and hand over.

As an experienced senior site manager you will be aware of planning procedures and following tight site time schedules. You will be responsible to organise labour and ensure all sub-contractors are following plans to programme and meeting deadlines as required.

Health and safety is paramount on site and it will be the site manager who will be taking tool box talks and site inductions. You will ensure all site labour is adhering to strict health and safety guidelines on site.

The successful senior site manager will have delivered multiple units successfully in accordance with NHBC/ LABC Standards and you will have the highest quality standards and experience in delivering new build housing developments.

To be considered you will hold the following:


  • CSCS


  • Experience of building both houses and flats/apartments up to 4 storeys

  • Track record working for large housing developer

  • A stable permanent background is essential

  • Ideally the candidate will have been part of an NHBC or LABC award winning team
