Technical store person


£18k - £20k


My client is looking for a technical store person to supply and resource stock for the team. You will complete purchase orders and receipt of goods on the in-house system. You will also be required to control deliveries and collections to and from customers and suppliers sites. Ensure set levels of stock are maintained. The ideal candidate will be reliable and adaptable with good problem solving skills. You must be smart in appearance and a good communicator with the ability to work well with others. Due to the nature of the business you must have good customer service skills, a willingness to work hard and have good attention to detail.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Maintaining the supply of parts required for routine servicing through the Company data management system
  • Book in all deliveries through the CRM system
  • Manage all tools within the store
  • Maintain all commodity levels as required
  • Deliver/pickup parts as required
  • Controlling COSHH levels and register
  • Control of waste disposal
  • Packaging of returns, warranty, parts and repairs
  • Maintaining routine check registers
  • Providing customer service to internal and external customers
  • Maintain stores to a high standard of husbandry
  • Ability to identify parts and locations
  • Create easy manuals for store tools with location
  • Assist Service manager with parts identification and ordering

Qualifications required:

  • Relevant industry experience will be considered in lieu of formal qualifications

Qualifications preferred:

  • NVQ or equivalent in warehousing

Skills required:

  • Previous experience of automotive components
  • Proficient in Outlook and Microsoft Office

Skills preferred:

  • Previous proven experience within the Forklift industry
  • Good level of IT skills and understanding of Database Management Systems
