Job Description

Role:- Trainee Analyst (Contract Testing)

Salary:- Entry Level

Location:- Chester

Hours:- Monday- Saturday (but only 5 working days of that pattern, will change weekly)

37- and 40-hour weeks available.

Russell- Taylor Group have three brilliant opportunities for Chemistry graduates to kick start their career in the contact testing world. Our client, one of the largest testing laboratories are looking for Chemistry graduates to join the team. I have three positions available, and no previous experience is required.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform Analysis and report results.
  • Ensure that standards are up to scratch for calibration and quality purposes, also ensuring that all analytical procedures comply with the accredited quality standards.
  • Control of instrument and method validation.
  • Work to good lab practise and ensure that housekeeping is adhered to.
  • Perform instrument calibration, routine maintenance, and troubleshooting.
  • Work in a fast-paced environment and ensure that workload is prioritised.
  • Monitor stock levels to ensure that the laboratory has a continual supply of consumables, ensuring that orders are put in place when needed.
  • Work with senior members of the team on development and documentation of methods.
  • Follow H&S procedures

The Person:

  • Educated to ideally degree level in a Chemistry or a Chemistry related subject or equivalent.
  • Industry experience in a laboratory would be preferable but not essential.
  • Able to prioritise workloads and have experience of working in a fast-paced environment
  • Highly motivated and able to work to deadlines
  • Organised
  • Positive "can do" attitude
