Role -Business development Executive - Scientific
Location - Liverpool
Salary - Competitive (to be discussed on a screening call)

Russell Taylor group has a brand-new opportunity for a scientific minded individual to join a rapidly growing CRO in the Liverpool area. Due to a growth in global demand, our client is now looking to grow their commercial function by hiring a Business Development Execuitve to join their team.

The Role
• Identifying potential opportunities for business growth and development within the microbiology, antimicrobial, biomaterials, industries.
• Developing strategical plans to increase sales and improve global sales plans.
• Developing and maintaining strong relationships with new and existing clients.
• Negotiating research and testing contracts.
• Compile and distribute financial and statistical information.
• Involvement with promoting the organisation including social media activities.
• Leveraging industry knowledge to develop ideas and solutions for customers.
• Attending exhibitions and conferences where necessary
• Meeting set KPI targets
• Contributing to writing grant funding opportunities

The Person
• Must come from a scientific background with a focus on one of the following -cosmetics, disinfectants, medical devices, FMCG, Biotech, etc.
• Must have a good understanding of microbiology, antimicrobials, biofilms, biomaterials, etc.
• The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, they will be confident when promoting the use of our clients' products and services at a commercial level.
• Will have previous experience working in a sales environment, from a scientific perspective.
• Will have a proven track record of driving B2B sales.
• Must be able to grow large customer accounts.
