Senior Buyer (Manufacturing / Engineering)
Permanent
Monday to Thursday 08:00 to 17:15, Friday 08:00 to 12:00

Buyer or Senior Buyer with experience in a manufacturing or engineering supply chain?
Comfortable managing RFQs, suppliers and negotiations under production deadlines?

What will you be doing?
• Managing RFQ tenders through the supply chain from enquiry to production order launch
• Reviewing technical quotations and ensuring correct pricing, lead times and commercial terms
• Negotiating cost, payment terms and delivery with suppliers
• Supporting supplier selection and sourcing strategy decisions
• Working with commercial and production teams to meet project requirements
• Managing supplier relationships and resolving supply issues
• Controlling lead times to support production schedules and customer demand
• Managing new supplier setup and supplier performance
• Supporting NPI and new product introduction activity
• Monitoring pricing variance and cost performance

Where will you be doing it?
You will be joining a well established UK manufacturer producing engineered electrical and electro mechanical assemblies for a range of industrial customers, operating within a structured and quality focused production environment.

What will you need?
• Buying or procurement experience within manufacturing, engineering or production
• Experience managing RFQs, quotations and supplier negotiations
• Understanding of lead times, cost control and supply chain delivery
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to work in a time pressured, deadline driven environment
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office
Desirable
• Experience with electrical components, control panels or engineered assemblies
• Exposure to NPI or project based procurement
• ERP or MRP system experience
