Calibration Engineer

Location: - Milton Keynes
Type: Permanent, Full Time

Russell Taylor Group is working with a Global Testing Company who are looking to appoint a Calibration Engineer at their state-of-the-art laboratory in Milton Keynes. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical understanding of Uncertainty Measurements and Test Cell Calibration.

The Role:
• Test cell calibration over 2 Automotive Facilities
• Conduct calibrations within agreed turnaround times and in accordance with all company standards.
• Conduct measurements such as Pressure, Temperature, Torque, Speed and Flow using specialist equipment.
• Assist with general troubleshooting around the facility.
• Create / Update calibration protocols + Uncertainty Budgets.
• Communicate with internal + external stakeholders / technical bodies.
• Assist team members in troubleshooting their equipment problems.
• Check and approve team members certifications and calculations.
• Conduct regular meetings and team briefings.
• Contribute to department KPI.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Ensure controlled documents are maintained to a high-quality standard.

The Person:
• HNC in a related subject (E.g., Mechanical Engineering) or experience in a UKAS accredited lab.
• Strong technical understanding of Uncertainty Measurements.
• Previous experience in test cell (and all associated equipment) calibration using software and equipment e.g., Beamex MC6
• Confidence in communicating externals / internally.
• Strong organisational + time management ability.
• Willing to be hands on.
• Excellent problem-solving ability.
