The company are a refractory installation services company working in process industries including Energy from Waste, Petrochemical and Iron and Steel.
Certified to ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001 standards, we are seeking a HSEQ manager who can ensure they maintain and continuously improve the HSEQ performance.
As HSEQ Manager you will be responsible for driving the development and maintenance of a safety-first culture across the company. You will lead the HSEQ function within the business and will be responsible for maintaining and improving the management systems on an ongoing continuous basis.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
• Owning, maintaining and implementing the HSEQ plan across the business.
• Responsible for the ongoing maintenance and improvement of the ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001 system, maintaining these certifications including other industry accreditations such as Achilles Oil & Gas, Constructionline, Concom. Carry out internal audits and maintain compliance standards.
• Assist site co-ordinators in the development and review of safe systems of work.
• Implement an annual programme of KPIs for all operational sites and undertake regular inspections and audits and report on these accordingly.
• Prepare relevant quarterly HSEQ performance reports for all levels of the business.
• Advise and assist site and office-base staff on all aspects of the Company's HSEQ management systems and procedures.
• Plan, source and schedule training to employees as required including the Company induction.
• Investigating and reporting of incidents concisely to ensure root cause is identified and actions put in place to prevent a re-occurrence.
• Lead the continual promotion of the HSEQ ethos and culture of the Company including sub-contractors, suppliers and consultants.
• Respond to tender pre-qualification questionnaires and bid submissions.
• Support supplier on-boarding through the assessment of compliance of sub-contractors and suppliers.
• Attend and contribute to internal Health and Safety meetings.
• Liaise with Client bodies and attend meetings as required.
• Develop and contribute to appropriate HSEQ initiatives.
• Prepare and distribute regular Health and Safety alerts as required.
• Review all operating procedures, manuals (where appropriate), other aspects of the HSEQ Management Systems and maintain document systems.

Qualifications and experience
• Must hold a relevant NEBOSH or Tech IOSH qualification
• Minimum 3 year relevant experience
• Must be willing to travel within the UK and occasionally overseas.
• Physically able to perform duties
• Full UK drivers licence
• Good working knowledge of MS Office
• Prepared to train in-house - Face fit
Desirable
• Lead auditor qualification such as 9001/14001/45001
• Experience of Achilles and other contractor platforms
