MEICA Commissioning Engineer

Contract | 6 Months Minimum
North West (Wastewater Treatment Sites) | Outside IR35

We're looking for experienced MEICA Commissioning Engineers to support wastewater treatment projects across the North West, working on behalf of a major utilities engineering provider.

What you'll be doing
• Lead commissioning activities on wastewater treatment projects (mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, control & automation)
• Ensure systems, plant, and equipment operate to design intent and technical specifications
• Manage FAT/SAT, testing, verification, and handover processes
• Produce commissioning plans, test scripts, and associated documentation
• Coordinate with project engineers, site managers, OEMs, and client representatives
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues during commissioning
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental requirements

You'll be engaged by a well-established engineering contractor delivering major utilities infrastructure projects across the UK. They support long-term frameworks for leading water and wastewater providers, with a strong reputation for technical delivery.

What you'll need
• Proven experience as a MEICA Commissioning Engineer
• Background in wastewater treatment or broader water utilities
• Competence across mechanical, electrical, and ICA systems
• Ability to develop and manage commissioning documentation
• Strong technical problem-solving skills
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across regional sites
