Our client, a leading healthcare company is looking to recruit a Production Manager to join their state-of-the-art facility in Manchester. The site is MHRA and GMP accredited. This is an excellent opportunity to join a company with significant growth plans over the next 18 months and move into a leadership-based role.
The Role:
• Leading and managing the day-to-day operations/ GMP Production Suite.
• Planning, implementing, and overseeing weekly pharmacy dispensing schedules to support clinical study timelines.
• Overseeing the receipt, storage, dispensing, accountability, destruction, and return of product.
• Liaising with sponsors, Partners and manufacturing sites on technical, regulatory, and logistical matters.
• Ensuring adequate staffing, equipment, consumables, and environmental conditions to meet GMP requirement/s.
• Supporting validation, qualification, and calibration activities for pharmacy premises and equipment.
• Maintaining readiness for MHRA and client audits or inspections /Maintaining full compliance with MHRA, EU GMP
• Line management of the Pharmacy Assistants and other operational staff, providing mentorship and performance oversight.
• Supporting the Head of Production in the recruitment, training, and development of all production personnel.
• Preparing, reviewing, and authorising pharmacy and GMP documentation including batch records, dispensing logs & SOPs.
• Leading or supporting the drafting and revision of SOPs in collaboration with QA and the Head of Pharmacy.
• Reviewing study protocols and ensuring study documentation meets GMP and GCP requirements.
The Person:
• The ideal candidate will be a registered Pharmacist or Pharmacy Technician (GPhC) or equivalent relevant scientific qualification. We will also consider Production/Line Managers in an GMP Pharmaceutical setting that would be willing to complete a pharmacy course.
• Significant experience in GMP sterile and non-sterile manufacturing essential
• Strong working knowledge of EU GMP, GCP and MHRA inspection requirements.
• Proven leadership and team management skills within a regulated environment.
• Excellent documentation, organisational, and communication skills.
• Knowledge of QMS tools, CAPA management, and risk-based approaches.
• Experience supporting facility design, qualification, or expansion projects.
