Senior Utility Surveyor (GPR Specialist)

We are working with a highly respected leader in the Geotechnical and Geospatial sector who are looking to appoint an experienced Senior Utility Surveyor (GPR Specialist) to join their growing team.
This is a senior technical role combining advanced GPR data processing and interpretation with mentoring and developing junior surveyors, delivering high-quality underground utility mapping projects across the UK.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead complex underground utility surveys across infrastructure, highways, rail and commercial sectors.
• Undertake advanced GPR data processing and interpretation, including hyperbola interpretation, signal enhancement and depth estimation.
• Correlate GPR results with EML and other detection methods.
• Produce and review deliverables in line with PAS 128 (2022) standards.
• Carry out quality assurance checks on survey outputs.
• Mentor and support junior surveyors, providing technical training and development.
• Liaise with clients and project stakeholders regarding survey findings and methodologies.

Requirements

• 8+ years' experience in UK utility surveying.
• Strong expertise in GPR data processing and interpretation.
• Good knowledge of PAS 128 and underground utility detection methods.
• Experience using GPR processing and CAD software.
• Experience mentoring or supervising junior staff.
• Full UK driving licence.

Desirable

• CSCS, EUSR or similar industry certifications.
• Experience working on major infrastructure or rail projects.
• QCF Level 5 or professional membership (CICES, RICS).
