Control Systems and Software Engineer
Russell Taylor are working with a recognised world leader in the area of remote handling for hostile environments, based in Oxfordshire. We are looking to recruit an experienced Control Systems and Software Engineer to enhance their core team, who specialise in delivering nuclear solutions.
The individual will join a team responsible for delivering all control and software elements on a wide range or bespoke robotic solutions for hostile environments. The candidate will be involved in the project life cycle of remote handling control and software development - from concept, design and development through to commissioning, delivery and operation.
Qualifications & Experience
Applicants must have a 2:1 or 1st Class Honours Degree in Control Systems and/or Software Engineering or similar.
Reasonable knowledge (and preferably experience) in the majority of the below will be required:-
- Control theory
- PLC and SCADA development (project lifecycle)
- Actuator technologies
- Sensor technologies
- OO Software development (preferably C++)
- Motor drive technologies
- Requirements analysis
- Real-time software development
Knowledge/experience in communications (theory and practice at software and hardware levels), electrical, hydraulics and pneumatics would be beneficial but not essential.

Salary will be distinguished depending on the relevance of the applicant's skill set, experience and qualifications.
