MRP Production Controller (Engineering Manufacturing)

The Production Controller, reporting directly to the Materials Requirements Planner, acts as the coordinator between Production Scheduling & Production, ensuring any constraints or risks to the Production Schedules are reported & escalated in a proactive manner.
The Production Controller ensures no unauthorised works orders or part numbers are being manufactured and validates work centre performance through Shop Floor Booking analysis. The Production Controller further provides the analysis and escalation of any constraints through DAWC reporting (Days at Work Centre) and provides Capacity and Doable Plan analysis through existing schedules and drumbeat reports.
The Production Controller is expected to play a key part in providing the data/detail to the Production Scheduling Team, documenting and supporting burn-down and recovery plans, and further contributing to company goals and targets on Start-on-Time, On-Time Completion and lead-time analysis.
The Production Controller will be expected to attend meetings, reviews and discussions where applicable, communicating their findings within the above mentioned roles & responsibilities to the necessary teams.
Provide reports, KPI's and information that complies with all company and departmental policy and procedures (MOS) supporting all departments, managers and teams that have an interest in Production Controller activities
Your New Role:
MRP planning and scheduling - all divisions
Generating CATLOB detail and reports
Generate all shop loading schedules in line with MRP/MPS requirements and provide doable schedules to work centres
Maintain MOS data integrity and reporting
Free issue material monitoring and reporting (including customer escalation)
Product group control
Burn down and recovery plans and reports
Lead time monitoring and analysis
Book to stock and on-time-starts reporting and analysis
Material resourcing - finite and infinite linked to production schedules and planning
Engineering changes (i.e. run times/routings)
OEE Management (capacity utilisation)
Treatments load planning
Stock parameters - (MBQ's etc.)
Routing/WIP changes including transfer of parts
Bookings and DAWC reporting and analysis
New product development and transfer to MPS
Understanding of Production Schedules and Drumbeat Reports
Understanding of Capacity Planning, with a basic awareness of finite & Infinite systems and operations
Ability to create and read reports, with the ability to provide and support any required analysis
To Be Successful in this role you will ideally have:
2 - 3 years' experience managing manufacturing scheduling or similar
Operational experience within manufacturing environment with good understanding of deadline requirements and customer demands.
Good understanding of Production Processes and various methods.
Ability to communicate and good time management skills
Mon-Thurs 08:00am-04:45pm Fri 08:00am-12:30pm
