Production Manager (Construction Manufacturing)


Salary up to £50k (DOE) plus Bonus

Our client is a multinational company who provide sustainable products and systems into the construction industry. They already have an incredibly established portfolio in facades, rainscreens and weather protection panels, and need a Production Manager to lead the production team.

The preferred candidate will have construction industry knowledge with ability to read CAD drawings alongside ability to multi task, plan and coordinate workloads.

The role will involve managing the production team members to manufacture, fabricate and assembly products for the construction sector. Alongside manage their KPI performance and training requirements.

Responsibilities include

  • Maintain Welfare provisions, tools and machinery maintenance used within the Production Department ensuring they are always fit for use including Waste Disposal Management including COSHH.
  • Supplier Management - Maintain regular communication with various suppliers for progression on large project materials that are in progress to ensure that the parts needed arrive on time Evaluate, monitor and measure suppliers through on-site assessments and benchmark desktop qualification questionnaires on matters relating to HSEQ.
  • Make arrangements for all materials to be dispatched to site liaising with Site Managers & transport taking control of the Goods In/Out smartsheet for visibility across the company and completing the necessary paperwork for traceability including following through any short delivered items getting them to site as quickly as possible.
  • Involvement with Procurement & Site Management in upcoming projects
  • Creating Production paperwork to support the traceability of manufacture of project components including Production PO's, Pallet Labels.
  • Assess Quality Discrepancies with product making decisions on the rectification process with the least impact to the project and liaising with Procurement where cost recovery is required.
  • To investigate, resolve and implement corrective/preventative actions through supplier improvement notices.
  • Conduct pre-project reviews to highlight critical to Quality and Compliance aspects and communicate to relevant parties, documenting changes or instructions as applicable
