Vacancy Description

We are currently recruiting for Electrical Service/Maintenance Engineers to join a well-established renowned company on a permanent basis. The annual wage will be between £25,000 and £30,000 per annum. With working hours of 8:00am to 5:00pm with an hour lunch

The role involves approximately 90% bench level electronic and electro-mechanical and 10% documentation of actions taken on each item and communication of completions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

As a Electrical Maintenance Engineer you will be able to …

  • Repair and test of a range of Drives, including Variable Frequency (VFD) and Servo, both AC and DC
  • test the functionality of each unit repaired
  • working on Drives
  • knowledge of industrial grade PCBs, Timers, Counters, PLCs, HMI's and, Temperature & Process Controls is advantageous
  • Solder to a high level
  • Troubleshoot down to component level using a range of test equipment including Oscilloscope, Multi-meter, and Function Generator)
  • Bench level electronic and electro-mechanical
  • Documentation of actions taken on each item and communication of completions, using the CRM system
  • Order parts if necessary to assist with repair using the CRM system
  • Clean, check, service and test repaired items, ensuring the unit functions correctly and fit for purpose. Where a unit doesn't match those vital credentials, advise accordingly to the Repair Supervisor
  • Identify and communicate any test capability limitations to the Engineering Department

Qualifications

  • BSc degree in Electronics Engineering or equivalent desirable
  • Must understand the repair of Industrial Controls cycle;
  • Ability to learn/ understand the company repair of Industrial Controls cycle
  • Strong technical skills

  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Must be detail-oriented
  • Must possess good troubleshooting skills
  • Demonstrated good soldering skills
  • Problem solving abilities
  • Good communication skills
