Warehouse Operations / Project Manager (FMCG Manufacturing)

3 - 12 month FTC

£50,000 - £60,000 (DOE)

Your Role

As our successful candidate you will be responsible for project managing activity at a 3PL warehouse to ensure key customer requirements are met working with the existing team to achieve process and efficiency improvements.

You will carry out an overview the warehouse operations with suggested improvements/enhancements to minimise waste and ensure optimal efficiency working with the management team and key customer.

Develop inventory keeping processes and routines, linking back to the customer which include LOT code accuracy, traceability assurance, damage/hold location routines and systems matching, destruction routines, intake routines, EDI error gathering and distribution for resolution.

Review the order fulfilment routines, working with the management team ensuring adherence L&I processes and checks, making suggestions for optimal order - transport planning (timings for operations, transport planning and execution). EDI integrity for dispatch confirms. EDI error gathering and distribution for resolution.

In this role you will be a key member of the project team to implement a new WMS on site. This will involve ensuring optimal setup for customer related WMS processes and requirements including, traceability, pick logic, rotation logic, location set up, bond capability and declarations. Establishing key reporting requirements & B2B timings and requirements ensuring order processing requirements are met

Skills Required

  • Strong experience in the Supply Chain and Logistics or Retail background
  • Experience of setting up 3PL warehouse and delivery operations
  • Strong analytical and management skills
  • Ability to work with Operational and IT teams at all levels
  • Self-starter with excellent reporting and presentation skills.
  • Previous warehousing implementing/using JDE is preferable

CONTRACTUAL BENEFITS

Salary £50,000 - £60,000 or Day Rate Negotiable
Monday to Friday 8.30am - 5.45pm
