The newly created Scientific Division at Russell Taylor Group is powering ahead with record figures produced within a matter of months of start-up.

A new team of specialist recruiters servicing areas covering Pharmaceutical, Biotech, Clinical, Drug Development, Contract Testing, Certification, Chemical and Medical Devices was put in place in February as part of a major programme to enhance the Russell Taylor brand.

At the time of set-up, the company, with national headquarters in Bromborough, Wirral, was already operating on a national and international platform in Manufacturing, Construction Management, Technical & Engineering, Construction & Civils Trades and Industrial Trades.

Tom Hammond, who heads up the Scientific Division, reported this week: “We had a record February, April and May which is brilliant news. Our targets for the first quarter of 2018 were hit and we’re well on track for impressive results for the second quarter of the year.”

With an eye to branching out into the contracts market, Scientific has already expanded its team with the addition of consultant Lauren Ellis. At 23, she joins the business after working in senior sales roles.

Rob Kurton, managing director at Russell Taylor Group, added: “Our new Scientific Division was created at an exciting time for everyone operating within the UK’s scientific sector, particularly after a government announcement to pledge an extra £2bn a year for R&D.

“Russell Taylor Group had its best trading ever trading year in 2017, with our sales force doubling to service demand from clients seeking to recruit staff as well as from candidates looking for jobs.

“We are about to see even more major developments for the business and greatly appreciate how the Scientific team are making such a big contribution to our total business growth.”
